Nashville's BJ Hot Chicken chain opens new Middle Tennessee restaurant

A local family-owned-and-operated Nashville hot chicken chain is set to open its fifth restaurant in Middle Tennessee next month.

BJ Hot Chicken is in the process of finishing work on a site located in a new strip mall at 120 Rivergate Parkway in Goodlettsville, Planning and Development Services Director Addam McCormick said.

The 1,200-square-foot space will serve up the restaurant's signature hot chicken sandwich, tenders, winglets and more in the coming weeks.

"The interior is still under construction," BJ Hot Chicken's Goodlettsville owner and operator Luis Arjona said in a text message.

Arjona anticipates opening in early- to mid-April.

"It’s a blessing and a great opportunity to get to open our 5th location," he said.

"I’m the youngest son owning/operating one, so it’s very exciting and (I) can’t wait to serve the Goodlettsville community."

All the locations are owned by close family members,

Arjona says it's "the one thing that makes us stand out ... that we’re all family owned (and) operated."

BJ Hot Chicken restaurant sites in Middle Tennessee already include restaurants in Nashville on Murfreesboro Pike, Hendersonville on West Main Street, Lebanon on North Cumberland Street and Mt. Juliet on Providence Parkway.

The brand's most recent grand opening was held for the Mt. Juliet location in November 2024. It's Lebanon location opened in November 2023. and the Hendersonville site opened in November 2022.
